Amazon FBA Fees 2026 — All Costs at a Glance

Sellers using Amazon FBA (Fulfilled by Amazon) pay three types of fees: the referral fee, the FBA fulfillment fee and optional storage fees. Our free Amazon FBA calculator combines all three — and shows you instantly how much real profit a product leaves after all costs.

Referral Fee

Percentage Amazon commission on the selling price — 5–45% depending on category. For electronics accessories under €100 it's 15%, above €100 only 8%.

FBA Fulfillment

Fixed amount per unit based on size and weight. Starts at €2.54 (light envelope) and goes up to €28.77 (heavy oversize).

Storage Fees

Monthly costs per m³ of storage volume. Low season (Jan–Sep): from €19.99/m³. Peak season (Oct–Dec): up to €52.20/m³.

Tip: A margin of at least 20% is recommended before factoring in PPC costs. With lower margins, advertising spend quickly erodes profit. Our calculator shows the pure product margin — add your average ACoS to see the real profit after advertising.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Amazon FBA fees and our calculator.

How does Amazon calculate FBA fees?+

Amazon FBA fees consist of two main components: the referral fee (a percentage commission on the selling price, ranging from 5–45% depending on category) and the fulfillment fee (a fixed amount per unit based on the size and weight of the packaged product). Optional storage fees may also apply.

What is the Amazon Referral Fee?+

The referral fee is the sales commission Amazon deducts from each transaction. It ranges from 5% (e.g. Consumer Electronics) to 45% (Amazon Device Accessories) depending on product category. For electronics accessories under €100 it's 15%, above €100 only 8%.

How high are Amazon FBA fees in 2025/2026?+

FBA fulfillment fees start at €2.54 for light envelopes (≤100g) and go up to €28.77 for heavy oversized items (≤40kg). A typical standard parcel up to 900g costs €3.44. All values apply to Amazon.de from 1 February 2026.

What is a good margin on Amazon FBA?+

A net margin above 20% is considered good for Amazon FBA. Margins between 10–20% are acceptable but worth optimising. Below 10% the product is often unprofitable once advertising costs (PPC) are factored in. Our calculator shows you instantly which range you're in.

Are Amazon storage fees included in this calculator?+

Yes. You can optionally enter the length, width and height of your packaged product along with the average inventory level. The calculator then computes the monthly storage fee (low and peak season) and allocates the proportional amount per unit into your calculation.

Can I calculate UK fees with this tool?+

Yes, you can switch between Euro (Amazon.de) and Pound Sterling (Amazon.co.uk) at the top of the calculator. FBA fulfillment fees, referral fees and storage fees automatically adjust to the UK marketplace.

What is the difference between FBA and FBM costs?+

With FBA (Fulfilled by Amazon), Amazon handles storage, shipping and customer service — you pay FBA and storage fees but save your own logistics costs. With FBM (Fulfilled by Merchant), you bear your own shipping costs but pay no FBA fees. For most sellers with items under 20 kg, FBA is cheaper when the product sells quickly.

How can I improve my Amazon FBA margin?+

The three most important levers: (1) negotiate purchase price or switch suppliers, (2) optimise product dimensions to reach a lower FBA size tier, (3) reduce PPC ACoS. Our team will analyse for free which lever has the most impact for your products.
